Celebrate America Under The Stars
with STAC's OceanFirst Theater

STAFFORD - Don't forget to mark your calendars for the newest Independence Celebration - Celebrate America Under the Stars - July 3, 2009 starting at 6:30 pm outside the Stafford Township Arts Center and the OceanFirst Theater in Manahawkin. Featuring the talents of the Garden State Philharmonic, the members of Our Gang Players Community Theater and the Stafford Township Intermediate School's B-Naturals Singers, audiences will be able to listen and sing-a-long to the music that makes us all proud to be an American.

As the sun goes down, a dynamic laser and light show by Stellar Designs will illuminate the side of the Stafford Township Arts Center and confirm everyone's mood for a great Independence Day. "Wind left us without our lightshow last year, but, thanks to new partners and increased planning, no one will go home disappointed this July 3rd," heralded Thomas Stephens, Executive Director of the Stafford Township Education Foundation, the local charity group responsible for the event. Walk-up admission is FREE and on-site parking is only $5, so pack the entire family into the sedan and experience the celebration together. As this is a "bring your own chair" event, you can sit anywhere you like on the lawn or in the lot.

Select vendors will be in attendance as well. The Celebrate America Under the Stars community event is sponsored by The Causeway Family of Dealerships, OceanFirst Bank and the Stafford Township Education Foundation, with added support from the Township of Stafford and the Stafford Township Board of Education.

Small business sponsor opportunities are still available and additional volunteers for the event are still welcomed. The Stafford Township Arts Center is located at 1000 McKinley Avenue in Manahawkin, New Jersey, Garden State Parkway Exit 63, just off of Doc Cramer Boulevard and McKinley Avenue.
