Our Gang's Peter Pan Triumphant Run at STAC

Stafford Township Arts Center overflowing with Peter Pan Fans!

What a thrill it was to see Our Gang Player's Junior Division bring this high-flying musical to life for 4 exciting shows this past weekend at STAC. Artistic Director of Our Gang, Sherry Schnepp, told the audience on Friday that we had broken the attendance record, and on Sunday in front of the sold-out crowd she said she believed it was the first time the theater had to accomodate a completely sold-out audience. Having been to all of the shows, I know theater personnel were surprised at the overwhelming size of the crowds for each show. But who's complaining?!!?

Carly Nelson (Peter Pan) was incredibly captivating...and what a voice!! It's hard to believe she's only 10. Not many seasoned performers could handle the physical demands of this role with such ease as she did. Bravo, Carly! And bravo too, to all of the roughly 150 people involved with bringing this production to life...the cast, crew, and support people. They should truly be proud of their accomplishment! The kids were just adorable and gave it their all...and they didn't dissapoint!! The full-capacity crowds laughed, clapped, and even gasped with excitement as the young performers flew around the stage like pros...and singing at the same time!! It was hard not to grin from ear-to-ear at these little stars.

Congrats to Sherry, Stacey, Lou, Michelle, Diane, Nancy, & everyone else who worked so hard to bring such a heart-warming experience not only to the kids and families involved, but every single person in the audience who most certainly was touched by this show.
