A Bright Spot for the future of Barnegat
Barnegat teen recognized with award, as the 8-member Barnegat First Aid Squad graduates from the Ocean County EMS Training Center EMT B Program.

Christopher Mondie, 17 year old Barnegat resident and cadet member of the Barnegat First Aid Squad recently graduated from the Ocean County EMS Training Center EMT B Program, along with 8 members of the Barnegat First Aid Squad.

Christopher was awarded the John G. Glowacki Award for Academic Excellence. The Center describes the award criteria as "The student receiving this award has demonstarted outstanding academic achievement in all aspects of EMT B basic training. This award represents the commitment, determination and dedication required to become an EMT". Christopher became a cadet at the age of 16 in April of 2005, the award is a tribute to his hard work and the Barnegat First Aid Squad Cadet program.

The 8 members of the squad, who graduated on August 10th, completed 120 hours of classroom instruction and 10 hours of Emergency Room training. Congratulations to Christopher, Phil Carollo, Pam Fisher, Moira Flynn, Jessica Gansereit, Brain Herczeg, Kathy Loughran, Amada Samler, and thank you for your Volunteer Service!
